I trust everyone is being safe and having fun this summer. It's the 12th of July and I cannot believe the great stretch of good weather we've had. The other day I went Kayaking with my wife and saw seals sunning themselves on logs while others checked us out from the water. It was awesome.
Marshall will see some changes next year both in our staffing and in the facility. If you haven't been by the school lately, you should make a point of wandering past. The corner of the gym that has looked so bad because of the erosion has a new terraced look to it. It looks 100% better.
Other changes you might notice in September will be in the staffing. Though many decisions are not final at this time, I know that our staff will be different. We will miss Mrs Reynolds, Mr. Williams, and Mr. Pelto next year and welcome Mrs. McDougall who will be full time in the fall. More changes are in the works and I'll publish those as I know them.
For now...have fun and stay tuned.

Ice Cream Social
Wow, so it's been a while since I've written. I wanted to write a quick note of thanks to all the parents and 5th graders who showed up for our Ice Cream Social. It was a solid turnout and it was nice to meet so many new people. Also, a special thanks to Mr. Mondau and Ms. Cook for taking their turn and the mic and hurray to our great parent group reps: Ron Wieland, Melissa Chase, and Tricia Moore. I'll say it again....It's a great day to be a Mustang!

Marshall Clean Up
Friday, May 2nd, is our Marshall clean up day. We have people signed up to take care of so many areas on our campus. Thanks to the maintenance department we have freshly cut grass and now we can put some finishing touches on some areas. Our flower beds are getting an upgrade, the wetlands are going to be cleaned up, the front sign is getting some much needed "sprucing", the track shed will get a new coat of paint, the native plant garden is getting cleaned out and much more. I'm truly excited about this great Marshall pride and spirit. Taking good care of our building and surrounding grounds is a good way to honor our school. Like I've said before....It's a great day to be a Mustang.
